MIAMI TRANSFER GUIDE

MIA to PortMiami: cruise transfer planning

A cruise transfer starts with your ship, sailing date and terminal.

Book the sailing, not just the port

Send the ship name, cruise line, sailing date and terminal shown in your travel documents. Terminal assignments and access arrangements can change. A port-wide map pin is not enough to locate the correct passenger entrance.

Protect the embarkation deadline

Use the cruise line’s check-in appointment and final boarding deadline. Road time excludes airport formalities, baggage delays and terminal processing. A same-day flight delay can defeat even a short road journey; compare a pre-cruise hotel stay.

Confirm cruise luggage capacity

Cruise passengers often carry large suitcases. Provide the number and size of bags, mobility aids and child seats. A nominal seat count is not a luggage-capacity promise. Larger groups need a vehicle-specific quote.

Arrange the return separately

Disembarkation time is not guaranteed. Confirm the ship, date, terminal and the point at which you can call the driver after customs. A port-to-hotel journey and a port-to-airport journey have different addresses and timing requirements.
